Project Proposal

Hello, I want to official welcome you to my group member, Arisa Alvarez. Me and my member have decided to work together and collaborate our brilliant ideas for our slasher horror film.

Background information

I am a sophomore and she's a junior and we finalized our decision on slasher horror. We first wanted to do our film on romance, but we redirected our choice to horror because its  a genre we both like and think we would enjoy filming. choosing our sub genres was a bit harder because we couldn’t decide till I stated out about slasher and she though it was good. 

Potential issues

The final girl character deals with the death of her best friend. Her finding her dead makes her deal with the trauma that night when the killer attacked them at her house. As the final plot faces the killer at the end of the film plot, she tries to get revenge for her friends and the other victims by trying to kill the killer. This is going against the typical stereotypes of females, showing that they can be powerful and strong.

Potential target audience

The target distinct is more toward a girl audience because we planned for our film to base on two girls only. Age range would be teenagers to young adult who enjoy thriller and suspense. 

 Software we're using

We will be using is Premiere Pro. Start of class, we got experience with the software, and I had personal experience before. Creating our own product in class did help us feel more comfortable editing. 

 We have planned out so far, the script and a brief idea of the scene we will do. After the script, we will come up with the title with the font and color. Then we’ll decide on costume, actors, and props. Adding on, we will make a casting sheet for our actors, storyboard to draw out the film for every camera shot and camera movement.
